Springs Valley Water

 

The Springs Valley Water Project is a water system improvement project in the southern portion of Orange County to provide up to 1.44 million gallons per day of potable water to Springs Valley Regional Water District’s (SVRWD). Reynolds for Patoka Lake Regional Water and Sewer District (PLRWSD) constructed approximately 7.4 miles of additional 24” water transmission mains along with all appurtenances. The new main connects to an existing 20” main along Baseline Road in Orange County.  From here the main runs north to CR 500 S, east along CR 500 S to SR 145, then north along and near SR 145 to just south of the Town of French Lick.  From this point, the new main runs along and in a county road and connects back to an existing 16” main near the existing master meter pit serving the Springs Valley Regional Water District.

Total Project Cost was estimated at $3,401,955.24. Total Project Cost $3,727,395.09.

Updates:

- Bids were received August 4. Reynolds was low bidder. Notice of Award was given to Reynolds on September 2.

- Pre-Construction Meeting held September 29. Contruction began in November 2010.

- Construction completed August 2011. Certificate of Substantial Completion signed September 2011.
